Transvestism

Transvestism is the irresistible urge to dress in clothes of the opposite sex and may signify a homosexual base. Not all transvestites have homosexual tendencies. Transvestism referred to as eonism, deriving the name from the French transvestism Chevalier d’Eon de Beaumont who spent a part of his life disguised as a woman and died in 1810. Childhood influences often make a deep impression in transvestism.
